This DLC in the first cut scene looks like it could be quite fun with an interesting, fantasy-like twist, but I soon found that the zombiefied enemies hilariously hop around like kangaroos and I just could not take it seriously.

My main gripe with the game has been occasionally an dodgy camera, especially when driving, but it does in any way diminish the fun and comfortability of the game. The world in this game is not quite as big as, for the sake of comparison, GTA 5, but there are things to do and you will not get bored. The story is actually quite intriguing and well written, character development is good and I found myself liking the main protagonist. The fighting system is great, very rewarding and satisfying as you can get upgrades for new and stronger moves. As an open world action game it gives you a lot of fun with side and main missions. I have greatly enjoyed playing through Sleeping Dogs. I'm off now to eat a pork bun and become a whole man, play the fantastic Sleeping Dogs and you will understand. Some other great 80's tracks can be briefly heard when you visit the bars and sing karaoke too. Oh, and i love the in car radio stations, great tracks by The Jam, Duran Duran, Tears For Fears and Pilot to listen to as you explore Hong Kong. Me personally, i loved it before and I'm absolutely loving reaquainting myself with it. Nightmare At North Point, i personally absolutely loved, in this add on, zombies are everywhere, it's a fantastic twist on the main game, for me one of my all time favourite DLC add ons. The Year Of The Snake is a nice add on set around the new year. Two of the DLC's in particular are very good. The playability has remained, although the driving is quite sensitive until you get used to it, especially if you've recently been playing Watch Dogs.Īnother huge bonus here is you get all the DLC, so it's a bit like buying a Game Of The Year Edition. The graphics are by no means the best, but are shinier than previously, the sound also seems to have been improved. Sleeping Dogs is a great third person game, nice campaign, plenty of side missions, good story and is quite well acted. If you're on the fence, my advice is buy it.
Sleeping dogs 2 ps3#
No, if you disliked it last gen and no, if you played it on PS3 or XBox 360 and have no desire to revisit it. Yes, if you've never played it and love sandbox games. Well, simply put, yes if you loved it and would love to revisit it. Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition is a very welcome next gen release, it was a fantastic sandbox game last gen. If you're reading this or have already read this I hope you give/gave Sleeping Dogs a chance and have enough fun playing this game as I did. I feel like it's a reminder of how single player games used to be with so many activities to do and has a good amount of replayability in my honest opinion

I think it's compared too much to GTA which I don't agree with personally and I'd say feels more reminiscent of games like True Crimes Streets of LA in terms of combat and overall story. So don't worry about running out of things to do as well having various collectables and things to buy around the world to customise your wardrobe, garage & apartments The game also has a lot of side quests & activities such as Fight Clubs, Street Races, Cop Jobs, Favours etc. The gun combat is a little off in terms of sound and spread and your reticle and spread can be so high with some weapons that you may need to use more bullets that you would in other games. The combat is really good the meele combat is where the game shines best whilst not the most intricate combat it's enjoyable and can allow you use a variety of moves and weapons. The game has quite a real tone when it comes to the world, Hong Kong actually feels like so much attention to detail & passion was put into it from the sprawling concrete buildings to the to the loud & busy walkways of the night market.

I think it's a highly underrated game that's aged pretty well graphically the game looks fine, it's not winning any awards for stunning graphics or anything but by no means does it look bad from a visual standpoint. Honestly even coming back to this game in 2021 Sleeping Dogs is still one of my favourite single player games.
